Thank you

I can not believe the response to our story on the news.  It has been amazing~

I am so overwhelmed by the love around us right now.  I never would have thought that so many people would have ever wanted to help build this home.  Edwin in Uganda shed tears last night when I told him about the response to our news story. He cannot understand why people here would want to help the kids he loves so much find their way out of the garbage dumps and into a real home.

I am currently taking donations by mail sent to me.  They will be put in an account that I have set up.  I also have an account set up in Uganda with Edwin where 100% of the money goes towards building the house.  He accounts for each dollar he spends daily through our accounting system.  He is so honest and I admire this boy so much for his determination.
If you wish to send a donation, please send it here~

I don't have a Pay Pal so this is the only way right now...Everything will be sent to Edwin as he needs it for building the house.

I will be updating this website as the building progresses, so please follow along.  It is going to be an incredible journey!

Can't say enough "thanks"
Barb and Edwin

  1. i am honoured to be the first to post on your new site. You are doing an amazing thing Barb and I am so happy to be able to help. Watch for a cheque to arrive later this week! I can now see where Kim gets not only her love of cooking but her gentle soul. You are truly an amazing woman.

  2. Thanks Caitlin, we are growing very quickly with the media involved. We have enough money now to start with all the bricks on the second home and start for the staff housing. Thanks for caring

  4. Thank you Barb & Edwin for giving us the oppertunity to help in such an amazing cause. One brick at a time is only part of how this has come to be...determination of two very wonderful human beings with caring souls is the foundation where these bricks are forming a building for a better future. The future for children and all they will become.
    Many blessings,

  8. Hi Barb
Are you in Uganda at the moment? My friend saw the TV blurb and gave me this contact for you. I'm in Uganda, so didn't see the media report, but apparently you are trying to install a well? I've just finished putting 4 boreholes into villages in Mukono district. With the system I'm using, they cost about $1,000 to get in. Do you want more info? email me: fouraspects@yahoo.ca If you're in Uganda, we can meet up and talk about it or you can come see what we've accomplished.

  10. Thank you to all that have supported us in this project and for all your donations, your purchasing banana bread and your love. Especially to all our bakers, our volunteers and Heaven Only Knows, who has been there to pass on the loaves each day. To Gerri and Marian who have never complained about how much work it has been or Kaitlin and Katie who challenged their town to a banana bread sale. To Laura and Andrea who are organizing a huge fundraiser April 8th with a silent auction and all the people involved in that. And the wonderful heart that the Ramada Inn had in volunteering to bake the bread in their large ovens. And who started it all? Global TV - a huge thanks to Linda and Carl. I so love you all. Edwin and I are very grateful. God Bless you.
